A leading business educator, Liz Mellon works with CEOs and executives all over the world.

Considered one of the world's foremost authorities on leadership, she has also contributed to the development of public service leadership through her early research. Her current research into school leaders is published in a series of Harvard Business Review (HBR) articles in 2017. Mellon uses diagnostic and design skills to help companies develop their leaders to deliver their strategies.

As chair of the Editorial Board of Dialogue, Duke Corporate Education’s journal which she launched in 2014, Mellon has led the Duke team in partnership with LID Publishing to achieve a readership of over one million executives worldwide. She is also executive director of consultancy Authentic Leadership and director of Original Strateg.

Mellon has written/co-written three books on leadership: Inside the Leader’s Mind: Five Ways to Think Like a Leader, which examines CEO development; The New CFOs; and The Strategy of Education which looks at how leaders make change happen.

Mellon was one of the two founders of Duke Corporate Education’s London office in 2000, the firm's first venture outside the US (it now has offices in India, which she ran for three years; South Africa and Singapore).

Before that, she was professor of organisational behaviour at the London Business School, teaching a range of MBA and executive programmes. She started her career in the public sector, running a Minister’s Office and covering a range of policy activities, from inward investment to trade.
