A leading business educator, Liz Mellon works with many of the FTSE100’s CEOs. Considered one of the world's foremost authorities on leadership development, she has also contributed to the development of public service leadership through her early research and teaching interests; she uses diagnostic and design skills to help companies develop their leaders to deliver their strategies.
The chair of Duke Corporate Education’s Editorial Board of Dialogue and executive director of consultancy Authentic Leadership, Liz Mellon has written/co-written two books on leadership: Inside the Leader’s Mind: Five Ways to Think Like a Leader, which examines CEO development; and The New CFOs.
Mellon was one of the two founders of Duke Corporate Education’s London office in 2000, the firm's first venture outside the US (it now has offices in India and South Africa and campuses in Dubai, Shanghai and St Petersburg).
Before that, Mellon was professor of organisational behaviour at the London Business School, teaching for its MBA and executive MBA programmes, among others. She started her career in the public sector, covering a range of policy activities, from inward investment to trade.
